Gracie Barra South Denver, led by Lucas Valente — the current UFC BJJ Lightweight Champion — and Andressa Cintra, brings seven combined IBJJF World titles to the Pound 4 Pound. Whether you already train striking or you're adding grappling for the first time, this program is another path to build skill, confidence, and a more complete martial arts game.
Meet Professor Andressa Cintra
Professor Andressa Cintra is one of Gracie Barra’s most accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors. A five-time Adult Black Belt Gi World Champion and two-time Adult Black Belt No-Gi World Champion, she brings elite competition experience, technical precision, and a passion for helping students develop their Jiu-Jitsu at every level.


More than a workout
Pound 4 Pound began in Lansing, Michigan in 2008 and moved to Colorado in 2014. Today, it is one of Colorado’s most comprehensive striking gyms, with an integrated strength facility and coaches who actively compete at a high level.

Before your first class
No. Bag Fundamentals is designed for all experience levels and is the best place for new adult students to begin.
Adult fundamentals require boxing gloves and hand wraps. More advanced Muay Thai and K-1 sessions also require shin guards, a mouthpiece, and knee pads.
The youth Muay Thai program serves children ages 5–13 with age-appropriate instruction from experienced professional fighters.
Absolutely. Pound 4 Pound welcomes everyday athletes, complete beginners, and competitive fighters. Your training path is built around your goals.
